Since everyone has free will, we can't change their attitude's against their will but in a way we can and do. Every time we uplift someone with a compliment or a warm smile it changes their outlook. Asking questions just right so as not to seem demeaning can make a person really examine things and make perceptible shifts in their attitudes. If the person in question is a teen, allowing time is support is probably the best solution.

I have learned that you cannot change someone's attitude about life unless they want to change, so save your energy and work within yourself. If the person you want to change sees the change within you or expresses the desire to change you have a chance - otherwise the only thing that you will accomplish is a bruised head as you bang it into a wall. Wish I could be more enlightening, but when you get to my age (55) you experince and learn a lot. I am not saying people haven't changed because of knowing me, but they had to be open to change in order for my help to work.

We all have our own minds. Telling someone how to look at life is very hard to do. Believe me, you can talk till you're blue in the face. I know some people with some very neg attitudes and nothing you say makes a difference. Therefore, you must accept them as they are, if ya love them or if ya want to remain friends, and leave it at that. Sometimes, people see things differently, later down the road and maybe wahat you have said to them, may have a n impact on them.

You change people's attitudes about life by showing them different experiences or perspectives. You can't tell them to change their views and expect it to happen. They have to come about it by their own experiences.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Same applies with humans- you can show them the door/path/way but you can't make them follow it.

You can show or tell them whatever you want, but it is true that only they personally can change themselves.

You can't although you can plant a seed, water it and let it grow (if you are lucky!) But it take years and years.

You can't. They have to decide for themselves if they want to change it or not.

You can't actually, but you could be a role model to them.
