There are a number of ways to go about learning IT/Tech.

I'd say the best way is to take a certification program, or to take a few classes at your local college that are computer related. There are also an endless supply of websites that provide information about computers and technology (I provided a few links below to help you out). Purchase a book or two on A+/Inet/Hardware technologies from your local bookstore, or take out a few books from the library if this isn't an option.

Most importantly, experiment with the things you learn and apply them in some form or another.

Buy a Copy of PC for Dummies... Seriously, no nastiness intended... those books are really good.
