you have a voltage leak in one of the 2 apliances...the stove doesnt have a motor and the fridge does so i would guess its the fridge...when motors wear they leak a lil to ground somewhere you might be missinga ground ... a floating ground apliance... so you are becoming the ground between the grounded stove to the non grounded fridge...be very careful especially with the 2 year old... electricity is dangerous
quick fix ground the apliance that isnt grounded
you might be able to just put in a wire touching the 2 together
try unplugging the fridge first see if you still get shocked
then the stove...
ya could always get rubberized paint and paint the surface of the fridge to insulate it but that would be a band-aid at best
if any of this confuses you bring in a liscenced electriction to diagnose the problem
ps it could be a nic'ed wire touching the chassis of one of the apliances too
if you have a volt meter(AC current setting) touch one lead to each apliance and see what voltage you get
in summery ELECTRICITY IS DANGEROUS CALL SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHATS GOIN ON
2. keep you kid away...if he/she gets stuck between the 2 he can get hurt pretty bad

OMG unplug the stove right now! That is dangerous not only for the fact that your two year old could get electrocuted, but it's a GIGANTIC FIRE HAZARD. Unplug the stove carefully, then the fridge. Then call an electrician immediately. That is a very serious problem that needs professional attention, moving them is not the answer.

One of the two appliances has a live short in it, you did not mention whether the stove was electric or not, if it is it could be either one. Call a service man as soon as possible. If you have a gas range with a clock in it it could still be the stove or the refrigerator.

You have something wrong with one of the two appliances. Not a good thing.
Call an appliance repairman out to find and fix the problem. One of the two appliances has a short causing electricity to travel through the metal frame. When you touch both the current is traveling from one to the other ---through you.

One of them has a short and when you touch both at the same time you are making the connection to ground and completing the circut.
You need a repair person to look at this now because having the electricity go through both arms puts you at risk of stopping your heart or worse your childs heart.
Just moving them apart does not fix this problem.

listen to everyone who talks about the "missing ground" problem and fart off all who mention shorts as they know nothing about electricity!
a short would blow a fuse or fry the equipment!! you may also have one of the appliances with a reversed wire in the outlet,, this would cause one to have a hot on the return so touching the other would create a HOT path back to the panel!! IT IS VERY DANGEROUS,, please get it fixed now
