Telewest is UNLIMITED, really unlimited & it won't require you to install rubbish like AOL does...and infest your system. Upload is still quite slow though.

8Mb Telewest is fairly common, but a 4Mb is adequate for most purposes. Telewest currently have capability to give up to 50Mb per line, and will enable this when the market demands it.

AOL UK is pretty good - All packages are unlimited (at 1mbps, 2mbps and 8mbps).

Might not be the cheapest, but has some good features (i.e. McAfee security software, PC Check-UP, spyware protection, friendly help desk, etc.

Look into it. There may be more out there, but compare the quality.

Tiscali, its cheap, fast, simple to use, has a great homepage (if you care to use it) and its UNLIMITED, i can even tell you how to reconfigure a BT voyager 205 to use instead of their default modem if you're interested.

stay clear of BULLDOG ... it is soooooooooooo difficult to contact them .... i wanted to pay my bill for 5 months and couldnt reach them ... they dont send bills through the post ... all done by email .... then when i finally got through ... they deducted it TWICE .........£ 800 bloody pounds .... like im made of money !!!!!! ... then said i had to call another department to get a refund ..... was on the sodding phone for weeks !!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !! .ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... thats better !!!!!

i use ntl and if you never have to deal with the customer service everything is fine,i've never had a server down issue and have been with them for 18months so a pretty good track record
