I can,t remember if it was for washing powder or washing machines. I t was a comparison test, where by a piece of cloth was contaminated by being put in contact with a RADIO-ACTIVE ISOTOPE. The cloth was then torn in half and both halfs washed seperatly. After washing both halfs were checked by Gieger counter, to see which still showed signs of radiation! I was just wondering what happened to the water and the washing machines.

I remember an ad from years ago for a carpet cleaner that had the jingle "1001 cleans a big big carpet, for less then half a crown".

The washing machines settled down together and started a family, they now been together for 14 years and have their own family of two tumble driers and a blender.
The water continued with its TV career and was last used in a advert for sudsey toilet cleaner.
In 1996 it won a bafta advertising award for a fish finger advert.

At first I was thinking or Vanish.
But I think it was a Ariel ad - ad was in the 90's? I have no idea what happened to the water and the washing machines though!

I actually think it was for that detergent Borax,it was 20 mule team power!that was their slogan,20 mule team powder Borax!!P.s I am so old I still remember cigarette ads on t.v Winston tastes good like a cigarette should!
