These are my guesses --

Life's a b*tch phrase I think comes from the belief that most women turn into b*tches when they get married, hence the rest of it "then you marry one"

Not sure about the Geez, Louise one

Dogs are referred to feet because of the whole "kicking a dog" thing and you kick them with your feet and dogs bark....

My husband said something that makes sense with the "wrapped around your finger" phrase, he thinks it came from snake-handlers and maybe one commented on getting the snake to do whatever they wanted it to and then another saying that it was wrapped around their fingers and it just always stuck for being about to control someone/something and getting them to do anything. Makes sense to me....LOL!

Of course, the "last red cent" comes from a penny being red and being the smallest coin. Wonder what they'll say if the government does away with the penny?
