Like Video Games, New Computers, Televisions, WAR! And other stupid things. When it can all go to the Homeless and Needy? Don't get me wrong I love all of those things excepy War and poverty lol.

Not all of the Homeless people have been put in their position by their mistakes. You are all thinking of the Drinkers and Hobo's.

I won't say anything about video games,but computers and tv's are a neccessity to Americans.Television is informative.For instance,if there was a hurricane coming,how would the people know about it,considering the fact that barely any Americans(especially the one's in the south) listen to the weather station on the radio.Computers help with new discoveries and many other things.Why do we waste money on war?What do you expect us to do when we get attacked by another country?For example,September 11.Homeless people,poverty,etc is an unavoidable thing that is not only present in the U.S but throughout the whole world.We can't help everybody or we'll be in more debt than we already are.

If you ended up giving all the homeless and needy people out there what they need then what would be left for those people who have worked so hard in life to get what they want. Half of the homeless people are addicted to drugs or alcohol why do they deserve to be handed a free ticket. they put themselves in that position so let them be as they are...

You know this should be the question of the month, we are the police dept. of the world and being the only world power country it's hard for our government to get the hint we need help to it's kind of like the person who goes to their class reunion saying how good there doing in life but they can't afford top ramen to eat at night.
I think one of the reasons we do it is so we can attain a good friendship with these countries so that in a case of war we have someone who will watch our backs. You see being number one we always have to keep an eye out for number two.

because some homeless and needy people could get off their asses, get a job, and stop mooching money for liquor. I've never met a homeless person that was actually trying to get back on his/her feet. Instead they're wandering around looking for gullible people to hear out their lies so they can get some money, eventually adding up to the drug/liquor bottle they have a fix for.
If I have to bust my butt everyday to go to work and spend 40-50 at a place I don't really want to be to earn enough to keep my home, why should I give people who are too lazy to do it what i worked hard to acheive?

This is a pretty dumb question for you to ask...you say the u.s spends there money on "stupid stuff" and then you admit to doing the same thing....DONT YOU GET IT!!!...that makes you just as bad....do you go out in your spare time and help the needy?...I really doubt it....so get off your high horse and talk crap about something else.

Rather give money to the homeless or needy, we let our taxes pay for programs that help people become self-sufficient.

The U.S. also donates more money to charitable causes than any other nation in history.
Much of what you identify is for simple enjoyment and pleasure on a personal level as well as to make money on the other side of that equation.
War to protect our values, to protect our land and to protect the interest of our allias or to help those being opprest when diplomatic efforts are exhausted.

Yeah! Why do we spend money on stupid stuff.... like helping illegal immigrants with social services and giving irresponsible people welfare, while those that truly need it to get back on their feet (not live on it) have the hardest time getting it!
