Aside from the weather, it depends on where you live, like everywhere else. Sadly, in the poor neighborhoods, blacks are murdering each other at an astounding rate every night. Some black politicians have requested that the governor send in the national guard. I think that's a little extreme, but something needs to be done. In less violent parts of the city, it's pretty good. Just don't send your kid to a public school. I worked in that system for seven long years and I wouldn't send my dog to one of those schools. Catholic schools are excellent but expensive.

well i live in phildelphia
its like any other major city....traffic, people, and lots of fun if you want..
theres alot to do and you are in close proximity to pretty anything... beaches, countryside, city, rivers, whatever...
alot of philadelphia is gritty and dirty, ..... very old .... its HOT AS HELL RIGHT NOW..
summers are nice, winters are cold and gray

awful! philly is a nasty dirty city, it's kind of like baltimore without the inner harbor.
