The toothpaste trick does work. The catch is that it must be regular toothpaste. Not the toothpaste with whitening, tartar control, scope, etc. Just plain old toothpaste. This can also irritate sensitive skin.

To help the calm down the skin use aloe vera gel and make sure that the first ingredient is aloe vera. There are a few brands that lists the aloe as the 4th ingredient. Or if you have an aloe plant just break off a piece and split it. Rub the pure aloe on the area. Or use neosporin.

OMG! I do not use toothpaste for pimples but every time I brush, my chin and around my mouth get all red. It usually disappears after about 20 mins. or so. My mom said it has always happened to me, that I have sensitive skin. However, you left it on over night.......try putting on some A&D ointment for the dryness or even some Neosporin. Best of luck, I know how you feel.

Tooth paste is best left for your teeth. Neutrogena makes really nice over the counter products for acne, they actually work. The best thing to do about the irritation to your skin from the tooth paste is to use gentle cleansers, and moisturizers. You could also try aloe gel, and that may help to calm down what sound like mini chemical burns. Fluoride is a chemical and is great for your teeth but not so much for your skin. Good luck.

Try some vitamin E or aloe vera lotion. Where the hell did you get the idea to put toothpaste on your face?
