I believe so. This reduces the stress level between partners. If you are having a hard time getting along with your in laws, just remember that love is the best seed. Just kill them with kindness. Eventually they will break down if you have only been kind.

No. I had great relationship with my in laws and I liked them a lot more than I liked my husband. We split anyway despite the good relationship with his family.

Yes. When you can get along with the two people who have had the most influence on your mate's life, you stand a better chance of making it work out.

My boyfriend and I, though we are not married, find it better that my parents adore him, and that his parents adore me. It eases tension. And these days, in a relationship (regardless if you are married) the less tension, the better.

I know that bad relationships will ruin it. My ex wifes brother is a ****** and her and I use to srgue about it all the time. Finally we split up

i wudnt know my husband parents died when he was little and mine have no relationship with him and we have an excellent marriage, im sure it is helpful but you cant let them influence everything u do and be such a part of your life but im sure it cud be helpful. i will never know :(

yes, its ideal if you get along with them. It rarely happens though since most people don't even get along with their parents or siblings in the first place, how can you expect a new spouse to get along with them?
