Depending how you count I have either 1, 7, or 8. :) I'm in college so I live in a dorm most of the year, so it's kind of questionable whether my family pets at home really still count as "mine" or not. I have a rabbit who lives in my dorm room with me, and at home my family has three dogs and three cats. The 8th would be my sister's horse, but I probably wouldn't really count him as a "pet" exactly.
Our all time high I think was 12: six mice, three cats, two dogs, and a hamster. At least, I think the hamster overlapped with the mice, but I'm not entirely sure, so maybe it was only 11. Unless you count the time when we had fish that had babies and had probably a few hundred fish for a while. Not counting fish or things that lived with the fish (because there are too many to count), in my lifetime I/my family have had (but not all at once) eleven mice, five cats, five birds, four dogs, four hamsters, two guinea pigs (or about twelve if you count the babies, but we gave those away as soon as they were old enough so I'm not sure it counts), two rabbits, two horses (whose "pet" status is questionable), two frogs, a lizard, a rat, and a hedgehog. I think that's 40 total (or 38 if you don't count the horses). And for the record, I'm 19, so that's all been in under two decades.

Four cats. Two of them, brother and sister both with black hair about 2 1/2 named Ebon and Awny. A white-haired cat, probably 6-8, named Bach. A small grey cat, at least 12 but still very active named Ghost. Yes, it can be a handful at times.

i have a horse 5 fish 4 birds 2 rabbits a dog 2 cats and i used to have a turtle 15 fish a guinnie pig 4 cats and i leased a different horse i am animal crazy!

Being that my wife is "Crazy Neighborhood Dog Lady" , i have 3 inside dogs , 2 outside , and 2 neighbor dogs that "live" on our property, and 1 outside dog just had 8 pups.

3 Cats (2 of which we just got yesterday), 1 guinea pig, 1 Dog (soon to be a full liter!)

Good question! I have 2 dogs, a ferret, 2 birds, and about 30 fish :) I'd probably have a cat if I weren't alergic :(
