is time really the greatest healer or are there other ways to shorten the time it takes for the physical heartache to subside and for your nerves and brain to get back to functioning as normally as they can function? is it really possible to be platonic friends with somebody you've literally made love with, or who you may not even have met in person, but felt a connection with just the same? how long does it take to get over a broken heart?

It takes some time...and the emotions will come and go. Just try to keep yourself busy. It gets better.

there's really no short way to mend a broken heart and even after you think your over the break up, the heartache usually comes back when you remember that person. So time works but heartaches never really go or vade away.

Time is no doubt the greatest healer. In the mean time there are some things you can do to make the time pass quicker.
- Go out with your friends. Work mates, close mates, say yes to all social occasions.
- Exercise. Do something fun and energetic. You always feel better after it.
- Sometimes it can help to throw yourself into your work. Try to excel in whatever you do.
Find yourself again. What doesn't kill you, can only make you stronger.
Good Luck!

Definitley time. But try not to have ANY contact with that person. Not live, messenger, e-mail, phone, etc...that's the only way. Also try to go out and meet new people, have fun with your friends, take a trip, learn another language, take up a sport, I don't know...something that will keep your mind occupied so you won't think about that someone.
I know it could be difficult, but IT IS possible, beleive me...

Time and a good romp in the hay will heal most broken hearts. Of course revenge is sometimes quicker.

Find other activities to get involved in, when you are using your time with other things, then you don't have much time to dwell, remember that God has a plan, and when you ask the Lord into your life, the Lord can take away your pain.

Only love can break a heart, only love can mend it again.
Find another boyfriend. Beware the "rebound relationship." Good luck.

Get back on that horse. Sleep around safely and meet knew people. Try and remember who you were before you fell in love and try and figure out who you want to be. We all can learn from out mistakes and be better people for it.
