I tell people I charge on a scale of $10 to $12 per hour. It doesn't matter how many kids, because it is about my time. I have been a full time babysitter for 4 years, with about a dozen clients who call me regularly.

How old are you? If your doing as a regular job, they are paying you too little, that's not even minimal wage and they can get in trouble for not paying the correct amount, especially with tax's. I believe minimal wage is somewhere around 5.15-5.50.

Absolutely!! I have a sitter that I pay $20 each time she is there. There are times she is only there for 2 hours and there are times she is there longer...it all works out. Many times my son is getting ready for bed when she arrives.

It would depend on:
a) If you are friends or family with the parents of the kids.
b) How old you are.
c) How age of and number of kids you are babysitting.

Yes it is. That is not even minimum wage. Of course that means you need to eat your own snacks and not raid the family refrigerator.
