Kerry Wood is taking the next couple of weeks to meet with doctors to discuss his options for recovery. His choices are to either have surgery or to try and let his arm heal on it's on. He is out for the remainder of the 2006 season. It is doubtful he will be with the Chicago Cubs next year, unless he's willing to sign an incentive laden contract for 2007.

An easier question to answer would be "How many days will Wood be healthy this year"? That answer would be "Perhaps 5".
