Are you usually pretty upbeat? I am and when I'm in a bad mood people are really bothered by it because they expect I'll always be 'happy'. It's kind of annoying if you're really in a bad mood once in a while. Like you have to apologize or something....

I totally agree with you. When you are an upbeat person it makes your down days really stick out and people make you feel guilty for being pissy, which is such crap! It's like you're not allowed to be depressed for a couple hours, you have to entertain everyone with your happiness. Well, I say, go ahead and have your crappy day, they can deal with it!

I'm usually in a pretty good mood, but I'm a nurse, so I try to keep it fairly toned down for most people. I know when I'm sick that perky people are like the most annoying thing in the world, so I try to be empathetic and positive without being annoying. :)

No, because I'm most of the time in a bad mood and don't talk much, so people do not normally expect me to be in a good mood and fear my reaction.
It's really hard for myself sometimes.

I get that all the time... but thats when you know who are the people that are truly with you. I had a "friend" who I would always cheer up when she was sad always help her out with her problems ect. But one day (Just once in two years) I wasnt happy and I told her that I wanted to be alone that day and she never spoke to me again.

Yes, I think they do. It's very annoying. I mainly want to be grumpy and left alone.
Then again, I think I expect the same thing out of others......so....
