Gas was @3.16/ gallon in Port Huron, Michigan today; spent @$28 to fill up my Chevy Aveo (subcompact car). Figure after taxes, etc. withheld the first .75 hour of the workday goes to pay for the commute- how about you?

91 octane costs $3.49 in Honolulu, Hawaii. I spent $53 filling up my 2006 Corvette which is getting around 15MPG city. My commute is 10 miles round trip in bumper to bumper traffic. I figure that's about $2.33/day.

Gas is now around $3.02 (Massachusetts) and the last time I filled up it was $2.99 (full-serve!). I live 15min from home so the commute isn't too bad. I have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire and let it run down to the 1/2 mark then fill it. Costs about $23 every 2 weeks.
