I am 17 and I am going to audition for AI on September 8th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Does anybody have any song suggestion? It's a little more than a month a way!!!

I have a very flexible vocal range. I am a soprano, but I can also sing alto. I have a powerful voice. I love to sing ballads and jazzy songs...Like "Misery" by Pink. I also love to sing country. But I can sing anything. I want a song that will show off my "powerfulnes" in my voice.

Note: I do not want an easy song. I want something that will show the judges that I'm a really good singer. Don't tell me to sing Journey songs or anything like that.

Find a certain song that will really make you look good (in other words, don't pick a stupid song) and do one that shows the color and shows off your voice. If you find something that fits those and something you enjoy singing, ask a lot of people what they think. And not just people you know well, just like people who don't know you a whole lot and tell them what they think. If it's bad, find a new song and do so until you find the right one.

Choose a song that you are very comfortable with. On audition don't try to hit hi or low notes that are stressful for you.
Save that for the show once you get chosen.
By the way, don't choose country. They don't seem to like that much.

If you could sing an Alison Krauss song I'd be impressed. I think she's one of the greatest female vocalists alive. She sings like an angel.
"When Teardrops Kiss the Morning Dew" is astounding.
