In a nutshell, it is to live a life of liberty and pursuit of happiness and to be better off socially, economically, and spiritually than your parents and see your children better off in these areas than you are. Sadly, I somewhat agree with another person that answered, it is becoming far less attainable than in the past.

The American Dream has become a Nightmare. What once was easily attainable, now is beyond reach for a lot of Americans.

New American dream is to retire alive from military and get prescription drugs for free and spending the rest of your life in front of TV.

The American dream is impossible....because of American debt.
And what's the point of having a home, when no one actually lives in a home. A house, is merely a place to replenish one's bod......while all the LIVING goes on OUTSIDE the house.
A house usually contains many bodies......
But the home is actually empty.

get yourself a gun. it's the greatest tool you can own.
it's the american way. it is written in the bill of rights, you should read up on it.
i learned that the hard way. i was held up before and robbed of $20 stupid dollars. haha! no big deal, but i was pissed that it even happened. i found the guy who held me and my friend up by tracing the phone calls he made on my cell phone and i drove over to his house at 2am in the morning and shot up 6 rounds off into his car, house and all his windows.
his place looked like downtown Baghdad after i got through with it.
so i bought myself an unregistered gun and now i use it as often as possible. i'm shooting out windows of people's cars i don't like and they don't know it's me.
i have a professional job, i make over $700,000 a year, and i went to a good university with high grades, i got all straight A's and i was a nerdy type, but i grew up in a lousy neighborhood and my parents left me when i was 14. i grew up with step parents and they would beat me all the time when they were in a bad mood.
i had to get a job and support myself when i turned 17, and then i went to school at night.
everything i earned i earned it the right way and the hard way, so when i hear and see stupid people trying to do stupid things, they wish they never would have met me.
because i spare them nothing and i shoot first and don't ask questions ever.
i leave them bleeding in the middle of the street, let god sort them out.

It used to be the opportunity to really make something of yourself. The freedom to reach your fullest potential.
It has become a way to have the government pay for all of your mistakes and then complain because you aren't getting enough.
