Yep Tiscali and Wanado, both have or had the same deal two hours and then even if you are in the middle of the most important download of you life, they cut you off at the knees. When back in the dark days I was one of Wanado's hostages I had a program that I downloaded called Star Downloader (I think) that would continue the download once Wanado automaticaly reconnected. Go Broadband young dial up.

Tiscali disconnects you automatically after 2 hours. Don't worry! It's their way of ensuring fair usage so that people don't hog all the resources. Just reconnect as normal.

In some cases the internet connection disconnects because of over heating of system, opening heavy applications or too many windows. If you are doing anything similar to the above stated, this can also be one of the reason of disconnection.

Most ISP's do this. It's partly a way to stop you from illegally downloading large files such as movies.
It's nothing to worry about. You can usually change the time limit in your internet settings.

Most dialup service providers have a maximum time you can be online before you get "bumped" by someone else... the time varies between them.. and.. sometimes you will not get bumped right away.. you may be able to stay an extra 5 minutes or so...

this is the reason I got DSL
