I want them to get Bobby Abreu, and I think if they get anyone major they will get him, but he has said that anyone who gets him will have to pick up his options on his contract. They will obviously get some guys no ones ever heard of, but if they get anyone, I think they will get Abreu. They should just g after Soriano, because Soriano has performed with the Yankees, and was upset when they traded him for Alex Rodriguez.

Yes, i dont know if they have good enough prospects to land Soriano, but they have a definite possibility in landing Jose Guillen. Again, an issue with Bobby Abreu is the talent that they would have to give up for him. More than a hitter, i think that they need a middle reliever. Kyle Farnsworth has struggled immensly this year, so they may try to land a good middle reliever, perhaps someone who can fill the role that Mike Stanton filled in the late 90's.

because it is been said the Yankees did not pick to deal their potentialities, in spite of the indisputable fact that opposite to some comments right here, Eric Gagne does no longer suck. The pink Sox also did not provide up lots to get him, Kason Gabbard is doing properly now, yet he's in many circumstances injured and has had 3-4 arm surgical procedures. David Murphy became #3 on the intensity chart for outfielders contained in the pink Sox equipment behind Ellsbury and Moss. in reality, the Yankees did not function yet another high quality arm because they concept they could upload Chamberlain and it may make the version, the issue: With pitchers like Clemens and Mussina going lower than 7 innings continually, it places a rigidity on bullpen palms which will start up to tutor by technique of the accurate of the season (type of already is).

I think they will get Sean Casey from the Pirates, he is having a nice year and the Yankees need a first baseman. I'm not sure who else they can get - they don't have the prospects to get Soriano and I don't think Abreu is going anywhere.

Belive it or not they need relief pitching more than anything else Farnsworth is okay as a setup man but if they could get Tom Gordon back we would be set. They have three possibly four starters that are starting to put quality starts together. Ponson may be the key to it all. The hitting has been strong all year. I would love to see Soriano back in stripes but at what price?

No on Soriano, they would have to give up too much to get him. A possiblility is Abreu. Also Torii Hunter of the Twins. It will be interesting to see how Ponson pitches tonight.

I think so. I think Bobby Abreu would be an excellent move. He's got a huge contract, but it's just about the size of Sheffield's. They can sign him on for the extension that it'll take to keep him and let Sheffield go since I'm pretty sure his contract is up at the end of the year.

Who cares. The Yankees suck...They won't even make it to the playoffs this year. I say Boston for the East, White Sox for Central, Oakland in the West, and Detroit for Wildcard. Yankees who? What?

Word is kevin Mench of texas might be on the horizon. Remember sheffield, matsui , pavano and dotel are expected back. Also if Ponson makes a good showing, dump chicon on whoever takes him.
