Lately I have had a lot of breast tenderness like I'm pregnant, but have had a hysterectomy. I am guessing the only reason for this would be early menopause? I am afraid that there could be something else also. I only have one ovary.

NO lumps that I have noticed.. but I have also noticed breast swelling. Ovarian cancer and ovarian cysts do run in the family. Will breast tenderness be caused by either of these symptoms?

Yes it is normal if there is such an animal. I guess 'common' is a better word. Hormones do act up at Menopause as you suggest, but these hormones come from more sources than the ovary, like the Adrenals. Our diet can also contain artificial estrogens especially from plastics. It would be safer to use glass for cooking and storage. Also it is important you keep up regular breast self-examination weekly or monthly, and Mammograms annually or bi-annually depending on the recommendations of your area.

Wow....I am 41 and having my period. I have got the sorest right breast! It's never like this. Near the nipple, but I don't feel a lump. It hurts like h***! I'm not going to freak out, but if it doesn't get better by the end of my period, I'm getting it checked out. Maybe you should, too.

Good luck with yours.

Probably just a hormone issue. Do you feel any lumps that feel like the skin won't move over them? That could be really bad.

Otherwise, just make a doctors appointment and discuss it with your doc. They will do tests and let you know what is up.

good luck.
