There could be many reasons why Internet explorer freezes.
It depends what you are doing with your computer when it does freeze. You may have too many programs running, or a game running in an Internet explorer window that your computer is having a hard time running because you don't have enough memory.
You may have spy/ad ware, that is causing IE crashes. If you are running Microsoft XP, you may find it helpful to run Microsoft Antispyware, or download Lavasoft Ad-aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware and run it to make sure you're free from any nasties.
You may have a virus, run an antiviral software such as Norton or you can do an online scan here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
It may also be because you are running Beta software, which is pre-release software which can have a high number of bugs which may cause "freezing". You may have to "downgrade" to the last stable release of the software.
If none of the above options work, try using another browser such as firefox http://www.firefox.com
Hope that helps
Rachel

I am using IE 7 Beta too. And I also experienced the same problem. But I don't mind cause its the "Beta" and not the stable release. You should just ignore the "freezing". When it freezes, just press Alt+Ctrl+Del and then select processes. From the list of processes select iexplore.exe and click end task. If it's too annoying for you, just stop using it and use Firefox instead. I am only using it to test my web sites.

★★ MICROSOFT PRODUCT DISCUSSION GROUPS ★★
◙ Here are hundreds of Discussion Groups for Microsoft products such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Outlook Express and the list goes on and on. There is even a discussion group for the new Internet Explorer 7 beta.
◙ You'll need to signup for an MSN Passport Account to use these groups. But it's really worth your time. You'll receive better help here than anywhere. But if you didn't pay for the product it might be smart not to mention it here. If you want help that is.

Well, go with your parents, lay off the games for a while and if you see improvement with your browser, try playing again. The games may be interfering with your computers connection to the Internet. Or, try downgrading.

I had trouble with Internet Explorer for a while so I got Netscape and that works better. Firefox is also supposed to be good but I've never tried it.

Do a spyware scan. If none, then stop playing Java based games.

you probably need to defrag your computer and that gets rid of all the extra **** that builds up and you dont need. Or re-arrange the things on your hard drive to free up more space
