Instructions always say 'don't overtighten', but how do you know when you're overtightening? Will you start to hear a little 'harmless' cracking before you actually cause a crack?

if possible and you have a 1/2 inch or so flat surface where the sink sets on the counter just use 100% silicon to glue the sink in place - it will take 24 hours for in to dry so once it in place do not touch it, it will slide out of place the next day do the same with the drain

turn our sink upside and put a bead of silicon all the way around the sink, put in place using the drain hole to lift in place. once in place leave it alone for 24 hours. then come back to mount hardware.

I know the answer is from 8 years ago, but what in the world does the answer from zqx357 have to do with "installing faucets/drain" in a sink?????

Apparently hasn't "been there, done that" :o)
