my best friends baby shower is next sunday, shes only 16, so, i tough that baby showers were made for people to give gifts, but shes making the baby shower in a private center, plus shes having a jumping castle in the center, what she or whoever did it, what they spended in paiyng the center plus the castle, couldnt they use it to buy what they needed for the baby? i mean, how much does a private center costs? more than $250, with $250 you can buy the play yard, the bed and the car sit, plus the castle cost like $250 more, so, can you come out with a reasonable reason to make a baby shower?

People generally do give gifts at baby showers but they are also a time to support and celebrate the new mother.
It's her money (or i'm assuming maybe her parent's) and she in entitled to spend that money in the way that she sees fit! Plus, this is her last big party for her before she's a mom for the rest of her life! Let her enjoy it and wish her the best!
