The Brittish use to have several colonies all of the world. Maybe that use to be one of them. A lot of the middle east school systems are brittish based.

Lebanon was actually a french colony. It used to be the most modern and western state in the middle east, known for it's culture and architecture. Lots of Europeans hanged out there. It even had a christian president until the civil war in the 70s.

My 16yr old daughter asked another question whilst watching TV, on the basis that there are probably 10 thousand Brits in Lebanon, how is it that there are probably 25 thousand Australians? We can understand why there are 40 thousand from the Philippines, for economic reasons.
Lebanon was fast becoming a really desirable Tourist destination.

Because the UK is an Islamic state. Well not yet but give it a coupe years. When Muslims breed at 4.3 kids per family and Brits at 1.4 it will only take so long until they take the majority....

Britain is one of Lebanon's trading partners. If you are a nation with goods to sell and your other European partners are going to where the Arab oil money is, would you be left behind?

because the west has a habbit of invading other people's countries then has the nerve to tell other people to get the hec out of their country. they go to lebonon to make more money then they would in their own country.
