Racists period.
But although we all claim to be all equal, we're not...and we quite frankly may never be, we're we're all different. The reality is there is a certian element of truth behind every steriotype, but sometimes people get so hung up on the negitive that they can't talk about (tactfully and respectfully mind you) and learn from what makes the steriotype negitive enough to make a difference.
When we can learn to laugh at and love our differences will be when we can truly be comfortable around one another. I have friends of all colors and we can talk about EVERYTHING.
It was really surprising to me how much whites didn't know about blacks and vice versa. I grew up in private schools where I was almost always the only black, and I was subject to a lot of questions. They were ALWAYS welcomed because I felt that I was somehow providing a service, the more you know the better you can be or more tolerance you can have, you know?
Some questions funny some serious, but the bottom line was that they truly didn't know. A lot of people are crippled by the ignorance of not knowing and shame of actually having to ask aabout something that may seem taboo. In light of the fact that no question is a stupid question, my providing a platform to enlighten them and they me proved to draw us closer.
In todays day and age, and in our genre of young people, we have made the choice to wise up about this and attempt to create a comfortable atmosphere to mix and mingle and learn about each other. But this is a choice, this was how it was supposed to be all along. As the world turns and the more we know, we seem to realize that it is somewhat possible for us all to get along. If we continue in this positive trend, before you know it, our generation and those that will come after us will filter out all the hate that preceded us!
Racists live in fear. And the reality is that once they chose to let their guards down, they may find that they actually have more in common with others than they think! At the end of the day we should all simply realize that we're just people. Nothing more nothing less.

Hrm, so you assert that there are probably more racists in areas where racism is less openly acceptable? Interesting theory. I suspect that areas where racism is more openly acceptable breed more racists. To think that people are racist, but are hiding it successfully sounds more like paranoia than a rational conclusion. After all, if a person does nothing to indicate racist beliefs, why would you believe they harbor such thoughts?
To some degree I would prefer closet racists since they are not spreading their inane beliefs. After all, people are free to think what they will and if they take no action on those thoughts, where is the real harm? Do we really need to play thought police when there are plenty of others out there busy acting on their warped thoughts?

I am white and I agree closet racists are the worst. But I believe everyone is capable of being racist at certain points in their life. I have never really felt someone having hatred for me because of color, gender or religion. I would assume if I was black, hispanic, asian, arabic, or jewish I would prefer to deal with an open racists, because it least you know where they stand from, and they are going to attack you from any direction, not just from behind. But that is just a guess on my part, so good luck with whatever racists you deal with.

Hmm... Interesting question. Open racists create obvious tension. But on the other hand, closet racists may be more dangerous since you don't know the boundaries of their willingness to harm others.
I guess if I had to deal with one or the other, I would rather deal with the open racists. Of course if I knew the closet racist was a closet racist, then he/she wouldn't be in the closet anymore.

There's this new thing going around about "reverse racism"
were whites now consider them selves victimized by what there
grandparents did .it must be hard being a victim of reverse racism ..i mean with all the blacks running around holding public lynchings, being beat with night stick ,sprayed with water hose's
spit on in public being excluded for restaurants.
poor white people the injustice something as to be done about this maybe if we get a white president maybe we can make some progress until then we will have to wait to catch up with blacks on the economic level ,and socially issue's until then
if anyone should understand your fight to free yourself from racism its the black community so reach out.
it pains me when a white person complains about racism
after all most of us today didn't do anything wrong i mean why
we need to start some sort of movement ,to help whites overcome this oppression

open racists... no question.
Closet racists are able to hide thier true feelings and probably never act on them. I think all people have at least one issue with at least one other group of people. But the people who can hide it and keep it from affecting their lives or the lives of anyone else aren't bad at all. What's wrong with that?

I find that racism goes both ways. And I do prefer open racists because I know who to stay away from. I absolutely despise racism.

Closet racists, because you never really know where you stand with them. (Personally, I don't like either one.) Closet racists are too busy being hypocritical and in denial about who they are. Open racists are at least honest when they say they don't like you.

I would agree. However, what I really don't care for is how many members of certain minority groups point out racism in so many, yet preclude themselves of racism because of past prejudice against people of their same ethnicity. I think all people need to be aware of possible prejudice in any area.
