My husband masturbates EVERYDAY! I work first shift and he works second so I am always out of the house WAY before he has to get up! So of course all alone and the first thing he does before he gets out of bed.....

Starla...he absolutely hates mornings...as I do! He gets pissed if I wake him up! That would have been a nice idea however! I always like the idea of waking up in the middle of the night and seducing him...but he's not getting home until 1:00am and so when he finally falls alseep theres only a couple hours before I get up! : (

Electric...haha! I said 3 or SO times a week! I wish it were my imagination but sometimes if he gets up EARLY enough throw it in there a second time! That's WHY I was asking! I just found it hard to understand as well!!

While every day is a bit much it is very true that men need sex. And all men have different needs. Some need it allot while others not so much. There is no way that women can begin to understand the constant drive it has on us. You can live with a man your whole life and will never understand it.
You can call it escape, you can call it a stress reliever but it is something men need, not just want. Most prefer sex with their partner and the less they get of that the more they will masturbate. Sounds like your jobs are at odds with each other so time together is at a premium. Not sure that is the reason with your husband but having the opportunity is a strong motivator.
As long as you are being included do not worry about this. If there comes a time when he is too tired for you then you need to worry.

Everyone's sex drive is different. On average, men tend to have stronger ones than women. He has a strong sex drive that you're not fulfilling. So... he's found a faithful way of relieving the physical pressure while trying to keep the emotional intimacy with you.
Plain and simple... you're not meeting his needs and, as a man, he's taking care of his problems himself. This is not something to feel threatened, or inadequate about. Though, if you like, you could see it as an opportunity to excel....

Well, put it this way--it's well within the range of normal behavior. Quit analyzing it--the vast majority of men get erections in the morning. When the opportunity presents itself,,,,,hey, to each his own.

I dont think it is abnormal at all. I'm sure masturbating once a day is just fine, but if it bothers you, try spicing your sex life up a bit so he wont feel the desire to do that as often.

hey, look at it this way...at least he's not cheating on you, right? he's got a little frustration that builds up and he takes care of it on his own. what's wrong with that. it doesn't really sound like you guys have any other choice cuz of your work schedules. unless, if it's affecting your marriage enough, then one of you should switch schedules so you can spend more time together.

as long as you are still getting some, dont worry about it. men masturbate all the time, like they are still in puberty at 40. now, if he stops giving you sex and stops masturbating, then its time to worry!
