Here, a few Lebanese renegades (who are not even affiliated with the government) kidnap two Israeli soldiers, and as a response, Israel's military bombs the crap out of Beirut!

No, because you are mis-portraying the actual events. Hezbollah is not a "few Lebanese renegades". They are a heavily armed and heavily financed terrorist organization.
"not even affiliated with the government" is also incorrect. The Lebanese government actually voted to give land to Hezbollah. Hezbollah is officially in Lebanon by the approval of the government and the people. When polled, the majority of Lebanese people support Hezbollah's attempts to rid the world of Israel. Hezbollah has been attacking Israel for years, with the support of Lebanon.
When you mention the two kidnapped soldiers, you fail to mention the eight soldiers killed in the attack. And Hezbollah did this knowing that it is Israel's policy to get its soldiers back at all costs.
If someone broke into your house and kidnapped your family, would you shrug it off? Wouldn't you do anything and everything to get them back?

You are forgetting something VERY important: The Israelis have done the EXACT scenario that you are describing now to the palestinians 50 years ago. Are you forgetting who used to be there before the israelis took over? Isn't this similar to the genocide made by the europeans when they reached the americas? If your comment is true, then the palestinians have ALL the right in the wolrd to fight to gain their homes back. Of course, i don't beleive in fighting with blood, i am against the killing of any human and suicide bombing is evil and wrong as much as the cirmes of israel to invade lebanon.
Lebanon is a nation like all others, why is the world shut to help lebanon? who gave the israeli army the right to destroy a whole ccountry? If you think that the lebanese should pay the price for the fact that hizbullah lives in lebanon, then i think that every israeli who supports this claim should leave the promised land and go back into the disapora.

Mountain isn't the word for it. It's in their interest though. If anything is chaotic in the middle east, it is to their advantage.
You might want to think about the wording in the news. "Kidnapped" is an interesting word for it. They are POW's. Israel may not want to say so, but they are at war with Hezbollah and prisoners are taken in wars. Besides, captures like these have been made for decades, but they never bring this result.
One thing I wonder though: If Israel is after Hezbollah, why don't they attack them. They've spent the whole time attacking Lebanon's civilians and not Hezbollah's installments. No wonder theyre are still rockets hitting Haifa. The Israelis won't attack them.
Collective punishment is an understatement.

Not affiliated with the government? They are a recognized party in Lebanon and are a part of the government. Let's face it. The abduction and killing of Israel's soldiers was just the icing on the cake. Hezbollah has been terrorizing Israel for many years. Now Israel is saying enough is enough. Unfortunately Hezbollah has placed their weapons in residential neighborhoods. To me that shows just the kind of cowards they are.

No! What you say is not the whole story. Iran and their crazy leader is behind this latest attempt to destroy Israel. He threatened to many times and now he is attempting to do it. Israel is just trying to survive. Pray for the peace of Israel-that is-for Jesus Christ to come back and establish His reign of peace sitting on the throne of David in Jerusalem a thousand years with Israel as head of the nations.

BS! The terrorists ARE part of the Government, have several lawmakers in parliament.
And they declared "all-out war" on Israel.
If terrorists in France would fire hundreds of similar missiles to Germany, over a period of several years, (with the French government not interfering) and then suddenly cross into Germany to kill and capture soldiers, then step up the pace of missile attacks by quantity and payload, what do you think the Germans would do?

Yes....they are mindlessly killing people who had nothing to do with Hezbollahs actions....if Israel kept the fight with just Hezbollah no one would complain..but no they went overboard...Israel may have a right to defend itself but they have caused to many causalties...way to many....with the tactics they are using I won't be suprised if they end up killing the two soldiers themselves

Israel should be required to disarm and submit to inspections of their nuclear weapons program.
