At this point I'm pretty sure pricing is the same online or in person. The only way you get a discount is mailing or pre-registering by fax. So do it either way. The last time I went I bought my ticket at the door. If I was you I'd go for more than one day but that's me. The San Diego Convention center is really big and the whole atmosphere is electric! So many people are dressed up as their favorite characters. The times I went were when X-Men were huge, and everywhere you'd see a Wolverine, or Storm, Cyclops or Rogue! Then you have TVpeople there, I think the people from the 4400 show are supposed to be there this year. Do you live in San Diego? If so take the trolley. You're going to have fun, just be careful, everything's pretty expensive. Better to eat first and be prepared to walk alot!

First, there has to be a real reason to go. I went to the San Diego Con back in 1977 to see a lot of my comic heroes there, but it can get noisy and hot and I'm sure, 30 years later, it is even a bigger zoo than that time.

Paying at the door is sometimes an increased fee (thinking ahead has its benefits)

The Comic-Con is huge. You will see so much there. Celebrities, comic heroes, everything. You can pay at the door but should buy in advance if possible. The lines tend to get long. I will warn you...there are so many peole at this event. It is crazy.
