we need a bullpen. I don't know who will be available but we need one. the way we hit we could easily b e over 500 with a good pen. we don't need a left fielder. my cousin is Scott Thorman and I"m not kidding and he will be the solution if Cox gives him time out there he will show his potential.

They're ok in left field with Langerhans and Diaz. No question that they could use some decent relief pitchers and a better starting pitcher. This will probably never happen as long as the idiots at Time Warner own the team, however, and they're going to have to make do with what they have since T-W will never allow them to increase the payroll dramatically. If they were allowed to do that, they should go after Barry Zito of the Athletics and sign him to a multi-year contract since he'll be a free agent after this year. And God knows, there has to be a good relief pitcher out there somewhere. Wilson Betemit would make good trade bait as well as Pete Orr and just about anybody on the pitching staff (keep John Smoltz and Chuck James!)....surely there's one good relief pitcher available they could get!!!!

The Braves are on a roll right now especially the hitting and fielding. Smoltz is pitching great and we need Hudson to come around. The bullpen other thatn Ray is the biggest area of concern. I would try to get a few decent middle relief pitchers and use Ray as the closer. A good starter if available, would definetly be a plus.

I'm not a fan, but the Braves are playing some great ball right now, I for one would not be sad if they caught the Mets. Tim Hudson has to come around if they are going to have a chance to get the wild card. I'm not so sure if they can catch the Mets for the division, they have such a huge league....but I hope they can catch them!! A starting pitcher would help their cause....BIG TIME!!
