I don't believe in a gender spectrum per se, but I do believe in a sexuality spectrum. Gender is pretty straight forward, but sexuality has many components.

Sexuality as a spectrum yeah. Gender, no longer somewhat. And fluid is questionable. i think of you finally end up at one spot on the spectrum after which you get greater mushy with who you're.

Your suggestion of a gender spectrum is roughly analogous to the research by Kinsey on gay and straight orientations. He felt that everyone could be placed on a continuum between totally homosexual and totally heterosexual. Most people are grouped to one end or the other (most at the hetero end) but that some people were in the middle even if they were closer to one end or the other.

Yes I believe that there is a spectrum of gender that ranges from girlie girlie to tom boys and boyish girls to feminine boys to manly macho men.
I think it is all related to your brain chemistry and the amount of male and female hormones produced in your body. every person has a different brain chemistry and therefore each of us are in a different place in the spectrum.
Hope this helps.

Yes, there are any number of steps in between a binary maleness or femaleness. A psychologist friend once discussed that there are endless permutations but was able to list over 180 different "types of sex" between two people. And that was just at one cocktail party discussion.

Hi, I think there's some validity in this idea. Although it can hardly be given hypothesis status yet. It's fairly useful for explaining gender and sexuality but it's much more difficult to tie to physiological traits.

Of COURSE there are people anywhere in between the extremes. There's no reason why anyone has to be all of one or the other any more thanone has to be either a Communist or a Fascist.

no, not really.
in fact, i don't see the point of trying to analyze gender, of trying to put it in a box. there are all different kinds of people, and new ones are being born every day.
