It's up to YOU, budrow. Make efforts to see that the way you earn your money is by doing something that makes you happy, challenges you, and makes you feel appreciated for your effort.

Make efforts concerning where you live, too. Decide what sort of home environment makes you the most comfortable and brings peace to your soul - big city, small town, whatever. Surround yourself with people and things that make you happy, that uplift you and keep your thoughts full of possibilities.

The bottom line is that no one but you can honestly be in control of your contentment and happiness, you alone are responsible.

People in your life that make you crazy? Remove them. If they're related to you, just limit the time you spend with them or control the circumstances of that time.

You have to decide what is important to you, what makes you happiest, what brings you peace.

But start with your surroundings, and go from there.

The want of Contentment is the essence of the Buddhist approach which is more Philosophy and Psychology than religion. Hue-neng thus summed up his approach as the idea that one should simply " Neither Seek , or Cling.

In context the theory is that our worldly angst is caused by the delusions of person desire and ego. Thus if you eliminate these desires and avoid looking at life in want of self interest, then through the accumulation of wisdom demonstrated through the virtue of compassion, one will eventually find the bliss of enlightenment! the ultimate contentment!

There's no secret, you already know the answer. Win the lottery.

If that doesn't work out, your best bet is to change your perspectives. Unhappiness is mostly caused by unfulfilled desires or expectations that were not met. You have to work toward making your desires and expectations reasonable, or perhaps even lower than reasonable. You can do that through imagery wherein you put yourself in the place of people who are much worse off than yourself.

...I wonder what that guy who really is worse off than everyone else does.

live in the moment! And accept yourself no matter what.

If you think back to the best times in your life. at that moment in time were you thinking about the past, worrying about the future or just in the moment? You'll find that most of those happy memeories you were totally engrossed inthe present.

Learn from it! You are a human BEING, not a human been or human going to be. There is no secret.

Here's to happiness

Baby, you can only find that inside of yourself. No one can tell you any secrets about it because there are none. Be in tune with yourself, be contented with what you have. If something does not work for you, interferes in your inner growth, then it doesn't belong in your life.

Good Luck, and God's Speed!

Set down religious texts, ignore what they have to say. Then consider the things you most enjoy in life. Now eliminate any of those things that others have convinced you that you enjoy (practically anything related to fashion). You should be left with your answer.
