For years I have sold stamps through the APS sales curcuits. Now I woul like to branch out into e-bay or some such site. Which sites is best for the sale of stamps in the $5.00 to $50.00 retail price range? How would I go about learning how to sell them on e-bay? I am fairly new to the "dot com" world, so I have a lot to learn. I have looked at German States and French Colonies on e-bay and was not impressed with what I saw. Not much stuff of real value. Again, answer this only if you are knowledgeable about the "world of stamp sales." Thank you.

Rather than getting into all the hassles of eBay, why not try the APS Stampstore? They do the scanning, the collecting of money, etc. All you need to do is set a price and compose the description. It's a good way for APS members to ease into online sales. I tried eBay for a while, but it was just too much work for the money I got. Stampstore takes 20%, but eBay fees can be even more for low-end items.

Only APS members can buy and sell in Stampstore, but the bulk of serious buyers in the US are APS members, so that is not a big limitation. www.stampstore.org
