Extreme heat eh???
I'm living in Milan, and I'd just like to say that it was 28 degrees in my bedroom at 06:30 this morning. In the office, it has been around 29 all day, and I have to say, very comfortable.
Could you please define "Extreme heat"?
The Brits are great! A bit of ice on the roads or a half an inch of snow, and it is "Extreme cold", an inch of rain and it is "Extreme storms", a bit of wind and it is "extreme gales", 30 degrees and it is "extreme heat. And if it isn't actually raining, they are having a drought! And he asks if it is any wonder they talk about the weather! They regard as "extreme", what the rest of the world regards as normal!
And I am ashamed to say that it says "British" on my passport!

I am British but currently live in Gibraltar which is also very hot. The difference here is that shops and restaurants e.t.c are air conditioned so you can escape from the heat at times. Also my house has ceiling fans throughout.
The UK is not equipped to deal with the warmer weather so yes you have the right to make a big deal out of the weather.
Just remember it won't last for too long.

The weather in the UK just now is hot, but it's not extreme. There are parts of the world that experience 35C for months at a time. We are having it for a couple of days. Big deal.
When the weather is cold, the UK goes pathetically crazy, calling -1C "Arctic like temperatures". Utter crap. Even more pathetic is when the SE of England has the smallest amount of snow and the whole road network grinds to a hault. It is all part of demonstrating how much of a bunch a pathetic, incompetent whingers we all are!

I find that everyone but I complains about the weather, so don't feel too bad. I'm actually enjoying the heat, and I live in a part of the US that's not hot all year. It's a nice change of weather! No, I don't blame you for complaining... or do I?
Cheers!

Do you think that I, as a Minnesotan, am used to this heat??? Heat saps me until I don't have the energy to do much of anything. Plus, I get sick and dizzy. Just wait until I pass out...All in all, I'd rather deal with 30 F below than 100 F above!

Of course we can blame ya. After all, just because you aren't used to it doesn't mean you can't handle it. No complaining! :) You could be in Africa or something hotter! hehe, personally, I'm a bit sick of the heat myself.... although.... it does bring up some pleasant nostalgic memories....

Heh...one of my friends (who lives in northern Ireland) complained that he started feeling too warm when it got to 57. Over here it got to well over 90 the other day, and I stayed overnight at a friend's house, which wasn't air-conditioned. Covering oneself with a sheet wasn't an option. Hell, CLOTHING wasn't an option!

I am an American and I do not blame you at all. It is 107 degrees today and will be the same until Friday or so. I hate summer, especially summers like this one.
