I am in the window and door business and I would recommend not using WD-40, but a dry silicone spray.

Yes - Oil will do the job...but it has a very short term effect. Try powdered graphite, found in the lock department at the hardware store. It is a bit messy, but the noise will subside for a longer length of time.

wd-40 or take a bar of soap and rub over the hinges, soap also works on squeaky drawers.

Yes........ as everyone is telling you lubricate them, there is a reason for the squeak though, make sure that they are aligned with each other and plumb, sometimes they need to be shimmed or straightened.

Put WD40 on them. The squeak because they're dry and the metal is rubbing. The WD40 will lubricate them.

The hinges may be binding because they are too tight, loosen them a little bit, bet this will work
