Where does a person start? How about following someone who's not paying attention to the foot on their gas pedal, allowing their speed to drop to 45 then up to 60? Or following someone who's into garage sales? I think just following is annoying. Most of us want to be in the lead, right? Or at least going with the flow at a reasonable rate of speed. Being stuck behind a school bus also ranks high on the annoying list. Oh yeah and how about those two people who meet, each going in the opposite direction, to have a state conference right there in the middle of the road, right in front of you...and they actually smile and wave at you?! Hey, here's a prayer for the day...may you be blessed with clear roads and a mechanically sound car. How's that for a cool thought? Have a great day. <*)))><

Teenagers who are such really BAD drivers.. they tailgate, drive too fast, are inconsiderate of others... and they are so arrogant they think they are the greatest drivers in the world... and NOTHING could be further from the truth.
I just love it when some teenage bad driver is tailgating me and tries to follow me around a curve... and they just about lose it, because they can point a car down the road and mash the accelerator and tell theirselves what great drivers they think they are because they can go fast in a straight line... but they can't keep up with me in my GMC Jimmy on the exit from an interstate without weaving all over the road while they try to stay behind me.
Yeaup... I think teenagers are the MOST annoying 'things' on the road.

People who:
1) Won't yield to you when you're trying to enter a freeway, causing you to stop or drive on the shoulder for a 1/2 mile.
2) Drive 10 mph under the speed limit in the passing lane.
3) Don't understand the concept of a 4-way stop (especially when it's in a intersection that's normally controlled with a light, but the light is out or malfunctioning).
4) Don't use turn indicators
4b) (Usually in neighborhoods) Stop to talk to a neighbor or acquaitance in another car and block traffic, even after they realize that people are waiting to get around them!
4c) Don't pre-plan their route or refuse to look at a map and constantly stop, slow, turn, and otherwise pi** me off because they don't know WHERE THEY ARE GOING!!!!
And....
5) Overly long traffic lights.
6) Policemen who talk on cell phones
7) Policemen who speed, weave, or in general break traffic laws because they seem to think that they can.

The worst things on the roads is either the other drivers - the standard of driving seems to be getting miles worse by the hour - or the 'traffic calming systems' which appear to be designed with the idea of causing numerous fatal accidents every day of the year. In terms of worst to follow it has to be the slow driver doing a mere 20-25mph in a 40mph limit on ones way to work when one has already been delayed that morning and is running late. :)

Any vehicle that insists on pulling out as fast as they can to get in front of you, then insisting on going slower than the speed limit, and/or slower than you were going. This happens all the time with trucks, old people, horse trailers, farm tractors, vans full of tourists, and generally obnoxious people who haven't a clue that someone else is actually on the road with them. Oh yeah, and people driving while talking on their CELL PHONES!

Any driver that thinks that a 30 sign means you drive at 25, or a 40 sign means that you drive at 35 or a 50 sign means you drive at 45 (you get the picture). This usually only happens on small windy roads when it is impossible to overtake so you have to just sit behind them and grind your teeth.

A woman in a car with a cigarette dangling between two fingers, trying to drive and not muss up her talons (oops..nails) and a cell phone in the other hand....driving a big car she can't handle......with a kid in the back thinking that because what she drives is big....that everyone else will make room for her...oh and don't forget the "baby on board sticker" (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL WOMEN)
Next vote goes to SOME (not all) white van drivers who insist on being close enough to your bumper to wipe your behind!

unlicensed drivers and dangerous ones, you know the ones which swerve onto the other side of the road when waiting for an 'excessive' amount of time. That and single mothers- I haven't yet seen one that -
1- Stops to check the road
2- doesn't put their child in danger by pushing the pram out before doing No.1
3- pays any attention to their child, e.g whether they are strapped in or not.
Oh yeah and rough roads, other than that our transport systems are total rubbish!

Drivers who block the passing lane. The lane that is farthest on the left is for cars passing the slower cars not for self-righteous a-holes who think doing the speed limit is good enough. I saw Mario Andretti talk about this once on tv. He claims those people cause more accidents because you have to switch back to the slower lanes to get around them.
