I really want to get one but will the price even drop?

I don't think so. If anything, it might drop when the PS3 comes out, but I doubt it.

Doubtful, it's only been out a year, and is mid-range in terms of pricing for the current "next gen" game systems. The Wii is going to price at less than 250, the xbox is eiter 299 or 399, and the ps3 is going to max out at 399 or 599. Best bet is to sell a current generation system at a store like gamestop or ebgames and use the "store credit" to buy a system ** or hit ebay and try to get lucky...
