Ok so I just recently started watching Grey's Anatomy. Haven't seen any Season 1.... So I wanna know - why are Dr. Sheppard and his wife living in a trailer? They are supposed #1 in their respective fields, yet they can't afford a house or at least an apartment? Yeah I know they moved from somewhere recently but come on? Anyone wanna fill me in?

In season one, Derek tells Meredith, before Addison's arrival, that he owns all the land that the trailer is on. He doesn't know what to do with it so for the time being they live in that trailer.

Well I think the reason is he left he wife when they were living in New York b/c she cheated on him with his best friend. He moved to the trailer b/c it was close to the outdoors and he owns the land. His wife then gets a job at the hospital he works at and moves into the trailer where he is living to try and work out their relationship.

dear, if you just started watching the series you reaaally don´t want to know the answer to that question. Someone is gonna tell you very important plot points that you don´t want to know about yet, so take my advice and delete the question, otherwise you´ll regret it SOOOO!

I´m also a huge Grey´s Anatomy fan... trust me, you don´t want to know
