You should just wait until you are old enough to do this on your own. Don't try to rush growing up. :-)

You don't say how old you are, but I think you should wait. I had mine done and had to remove it due to getting surgery (they don't let you keep it in if you are having abdominal surgery). Then 2 yrs later I had it redone...but it never healed right. My friend had one too and hers kept ripping and getting infected. Wait until you are older...your parents might be more inclined to allow it later, and you will be more mature in doing the after care that is necessary. Also, remember that if it gets infected or something worse, your parents are the ones that pay for your medical insurance so they really should have a say so in whether you get it done. (I will admit though, the jewelry is really cute!)

Well, your dad's right, it would look trashy.

Why do you want to put another hole in your body? If you need to draw attention to yourself, you're going about it the wrong way. A pierced belly button does nothing for your looks or your intelligence.

I assume you live with your mom? Your mom has basically already given you permission. Just go do it with your friends without telling your mom what you're doing. She'll be a little miffed, but obviously doesn't care much or she would have put her foot down instead of deferring you to your dad.

Your dad will be miffed, but won't likely do anything about it since he doesn't live with you and has lost his authoritarian position as a result.

I'd just wait a few years. You can get a fake one in the meantime. A fake one's probably better anyway, I had mine pierced (when I was 21) and it was infected for a really long time and green stuff came out of it and it hurt.

wait until you are 18 and then do it! or find a tattoo p;ace that will do it for you under age, that's what I did. oh and I did it myself a couple times, but I don't rec commend that because I did it too thin and it ripped through my skin. so wait until you are old enough.

just ask your mom why she said yes and use those reasons to tell your dad. as long as youre getting it because its a personal expression and you wont change your maind about having it in, go for it.
