I need to get a gift certificate for my friends that lives in Geneva. I checked the virgin and couldnt find any store in Geneva.

Why don't you send cash or a Visa gift card instead. I know from personal experience there are only small stores in Geneva. No Virgin/Tower/Best Buy/Circuit City/etc...

Either you may buy a certificate for professional independent book stores (all over in Switzerland) or then one for ExLibris, a rather reasonable store for books and music.
(choose "Gutscheine kaufen" on the right)
As the two websites do not support English, you might send an e-mail to the last website and ask for possibilities - they've got a popular online book service.
