My neighbor has a 14 year old son who got in trouble at a public pool last weekend. He kept trying to pull down bikini tops and pinching girls. Today she wants to borrow my daughters one piece bathing suit and swim cap. She is going to make her son wear the pink suit to the pool and apologize to the girls. Do you think she is going to far in her punishment or is he getting what he deserves.

That is just teaching him a lesson that he deserves to learn, then he will know to respect girls and it's not cute or funny for him to be doing that. So go ahead and let her borrow it. It's not about teaching him to dress like a girl because he is 14 i'am sure he knows he's a boy and is comfortable with his sexuality. I have a son and when he whines like a girl i call him a girl it only makes him mad because he knows he's a boy and it will teach him to stop whining if he don't want me to call him that

The particular punishment is stupid. The offense is unacceptable. I think less ridiculous and more appropriate punishment is in order. Something drastic that will impress upon him that his behavior will not be tolerated. Maybe grounded for a month with no TV or Video Game rights, or whatever else he likes doing taken away from him. As screwed up as his offense is, he would probably just enjoy being a spectacle at the pool and get off on it. Might even like it so much he becomes a transvestite. Not a good direction. I advise rethinking the punishment.

In some respects, it is a good punishment because he seems like he needs to know what humiliation of that magnitude feels like. Fourteen is certainly old enough to know not to do that sort of thing. This should teach him a good lesson that will stick with him.

However, what he did was technically a form of sexual assault. Those girls should press charges against him or their parents should do so for them. This is very serious behavior that should be handled by the police and criminal justice system.

Yes that is way over board for a punishment!
He will be teased ~ ashamed ~ picked on ,
For a very long time!
This kind of punishment , is something he will hold against his mum, forever!
Then mum will wonder ~ why is he hiding in his room ~ why isn't he out playing ~ why doesn't he talk to me ~ !

If your going to punish him,
have him say he is sorry to the girls.

But NOT wearing a pink bathing suit and cap!
That is mental ~ and physical ( forced to wear ) Abuse!
~^~^~^~Peace.

How does humiliating anyone help them? What are they learning? There is sexual curiosity at that age.....and then there is going too far. Perhaps some counseling or a sexual harrassment class would be more appropriate??? She could scar or stunt his emotional growth doing this.

Besides.....do you think your daughter would want a boy wearing her suit? lol

That is so so wrong, she should know better than that. If she do that, that child will grow up gay and hate himself forever. My sister used to make me wear little dresses and I started to like it and end up being gay. I hate my sister for doing that, she has ruined my life and being gay is not fun, only if she had not done that maybe I would be normal like the rest of the men.

Gosh, I'm so glad I don't have kids.

I think that is ridiculous punishment. He should be banned from going to the pool - period.

No she should not do that. Make him apologize and if she thinks that is not enough ground him or find another way to discipline do not dress him in girls clothes.

I don't think humiliation is the way to go...I do think making him apologize is just...I have 3 sons, and I can't say I'd necessarily make them dress in drag to teach them a lesson...
