I like your first two answers. If you have fluid or water behind your eardrum, then a nasal spray decongestant can help with that, just don't use it for more than 2 or 3 days in a row. If you experience any fever or pain associated with your ears, then the best thing to do is to go to a doctor.

Lean the water-filled ear toward the ground and hop on one foot. The water should leak out. I learned that from a nurse!
