why do teens get pregnent so early?

Lots of reasons, juding from the questions we see here they either don't know enough about birth control or they are just too immature to realize that they are too immature to be parents, they have no true concept of the realities of life and parenthood. They pretend to be grown up enough for sex when they aren't responsible enough to be grown up, its like playing dress up, only with much bigger consequences. I think the fact that they do not have parents or trusted adults to talk to about it helps too. I've known girls that got pregnant because they thought it would give them someone to love and someone that would love them, obviously these girls came from bad families, some of them think thats how they can keep a boyfriend around. They are teens they have lots of screwy ideas and not enough supervision, thats bound to add up to trouble.

I got married and pregnant at 17, I did it because nobody cared, there was not one single person around that even tried to say this isn't a good idea. If my dad had said get your butt home i would've but he didn't bother and mom was in the hospital so thats where i ended up.

I used to work as a security officer at a high school and I had a chance to speak with a couple of students and I remember speaking to a young freshman girl and she had stated that she wanted a baby. I told her that she was too young and I asked her why she would want a baby at an early age. She said that she wanted someone to love her. So I think the reason is because of no love or affection from parents or a single parent who is probably involved in other activities that ignores the fact that they have kids. And in order to be loved the young girl finds love from a young man ( age between 18 - 21 ) and of course he talks her into having sex with him and presto she is pregnant.

It's a combination of less than realistic expectations and lack of planning and projecting. They realize at some level that unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy but choose not to use protection because what can happen? What can happen is that they'll have a child that they're poorly prepared to raise and the boy will run while the girl turns the child over to her parents to raise all the while saying that she's responsible because she's doing it all on her own. Everything has a consequence unfortunately that consequence is seldom placed squarely on the people that it should be.

Because they have sex. Some are fit for babies like myself and some aren't. But dont think they all do it intentionally. **** happens...I dont know why people are so surprised by that fact because people already know that teens are having sex. Pregnancy is a high consequence. So what do ya get?

No enough education about protected s*x and contraception. Also getting the various forms of contraception is not easy for a girl who is underage.

Parents should be aware that girls and boys are having s*x at such a young age and should act accordingly.
