I love snow and snowy weather but recently I found out that many people really REALLY hate snow.
Do you love it or hate it? Why?

I like it, and I notice that people who are born in the winter are more apt to like it than "summer babies".

The first part of the reason I like it is that a person can always put on more clothing to stay warm in winter, but when it's really hot in the summer, a person can only take off so many items, if s/he plans to do anything outside.
The second part of the reason I like snowy weather is that the atmosphere is so mind-expanding, especially when you take a walk during a snowfall.

I prefer snowy weather over arctic cold. When you live in the city and it snows real hard everything gets so quiet, especially if you live on a side street. At night it makes everything sparkle, and if it is holiday time the decorations look that much nicer. But the best is the day after a major snowstorm, the sun comes out and everything just glistens. Take a walk through a forest preserve and everything is coated perfectly in white. Drive out to the country and see how the farm land is laid out flat in snow. You see the horses running around and when you look up you can see a hawk in the sky searching for its food. I love snowy days but I am also glad I leave in an area where summer is warm, bright and almost perfect,

I've seen a few severe winters and I love the snow! People always complain about whatever weather we get in England. If it snows it's too cold and if the sun comes out it's too hot! I have seen snow 5' deep in the South West and it's great! Even tried making an igloo in the local park!!!! Why don't we get proper weather anymore??!!!! As Billy Connelly once said - there's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!!!!

Absolutely love it, as long as I don't have to travel anywhere. Wish it was snowing right now, as I can't stand this 33 degree heat!!! At least you can wrap up warm in snowy weather and it's fun to sledge down hills, to have snowball fights, to get a day off work if the temperature drops too low or if travel conditions are bad and it's also lovely to see how beautiful everything looks!

I like it when I have the correct clothing, because I hate feeling cold. But the snow makes everything pretty.

Snow is great when it is not your usual thing. when it's an every day thing for 5 months of the year and comes with drastic cold you kinda get sick of it. I don't mind it because I chose to live here and if it's not too cold and hasn't been around too long where it gets all dirty.

I love snow...until I have to drive in it. Then not so much. I don't even mind shoveling it. It's better than rain and you can play in it! And skiing/snowboarding and all those other great sports. And it's so pretty outside after it snows.
