I don't know that it would be something I'd ask for. I'd have to meet a real one first to know. But I think I could handle being a vampire. I already can't stand the sunlight. It hurts my eyes.

I really like the story and myth of the Vampire! But no I would not become a Vampire because you would have to kill others to live! Also the whole blood - sucking thing - I can't get into!

Excellent question.
Actually, in college I had the opportunity to become a vampire. You see, I was dating a girl who, as it turns out, was a vampire.
It took me several months to come to this realization for I was fixated on her limitless beauty and infinite wisdom. Her skin was as pale as the flesh of a lychee glowing in the moonlight for she refused to be seen by daylight.
She took classes in the evening and slept by day. The only times I saw her outdoors in the dawn were when it was raining. She loved the rain. She had a large collection of trench coats and umbrellas. Under her coat she wore the most lovely skirts. I always got a kick out of seeing her wear a skirt with boots. (not literally)
I loved her. When she was ill I would tend to her. When she was sad I would comfort her. The realization that she was a vampire momentarily stopped my heart as I was overcome by respect and fear.
In the end, I decided to break it off. I don't think that I am cut out to be a vampire. Perhaps I had the opportunity but I have yet to regret my decision.

first of all,vampires are real.its just the state of exaggeration that is fake.vampirism is really just a state of dying diabetics.back in the mid 1800's peope didnt have insalin for their diabetes so if a person ot diagnosed with it,shortly affter they would die from lack of insalin but in the period of time they were dying they suffored from symptoms such as residing gum line,sleep walking,starvation,etc.the generations of the years exaggerated what acually is very easy to unerstand.
fangs=reciding gum line
thirst for blood=symptoms of it would drive some to the point of insanity
pale skin and thinning body=lack of hunger
so,all of this being said,if it was the exaggeration that generations of people have carried on(the whole myth of turning into a bat and flying)then yes that would be interesting.but if was the truth of vampires than no,because all id be was a dying diabetic.
for more on my theory on vampires,emai me at=

Vampires are real in a sense. Vampires do not just follow satan. Some are not satanic. Vampires are not afraid of crosses, churches, whatever the vampire myths are.

I think they look cool and I like how agile and flexible they are. I don't know if I'd change if I had the choice, but I wouldn't be sad if I was born as one...if they existed in a comic-bookish universe =)
but I would want to handle my 'cravings' like Blade does. I wouldn't want to suck out humans or any kind of living thing...hehehe
