The president should never be allowed to torture anybody for any reason! How would torturing somone reduce crime? That in itself is a crime.

Where do people get these ideas? Man, I wish I had as many hours in the day as George has. He gets around. I'm not thinking that torture to reduce crime is anywhere on his agenda. Give us your reasons why you think it would.

There are ways of torture that can bend the mind but leave the body intact.

While the president isn't directly involved, police already employ torture tactics on a regular basis. It's just not official.

No. Some of America's founders were people trying to escape oppressive regimes that allowed the torture of prisoners. God willing, we will never devolve into that tyrannical of a state.

Depends. If this citizen is fighting AGAINST us, overseas, I think they lose their right to citizenship and they should be treated as a terrorist. Yes, they should be tortured.

no , it goes against American law and the geneva convention, plus The UN does policy Audits on countries domestic policies and would recommend against it... the US is in one now
