The installation of a non-standard 1.5-litre engine, that has turned a car that was once either a 214 (1.4-litre) or 216 (1.6-litre) into a 215?
That was bound to cause problems.

as daft as this may sound,
i had the same problem with my fiesta and ldv convoy van,
what it came down to after months of trying everything under the sun!!
was my mobile phone in it's holder on the dash!
every time my phone rang, the clocks/lights would go bonkers!
apparently some mobys have the same frequency as some componants in the vehicle electrics?
hope this helps?

Alien activity...
Call Mulder and Scully!
Seriously though, I'd get it checked out by a specialist garage, sounds as if the electrics are shot, take care!
