at my high school it is horrible! i am one of the very few teens that hardly do anything wrong such as drugs, skip class, talk filthy and have sex all the time. nowadays kids act like ur not cool unless u do those things. well haven't they ever thought that some people want to take care of themselves and be responsible? i just can't stand the fact that NO BODY CARES WUT HAPPENS TO THEMSELVES NEMORE! its really hard topick friends too b/c at my school EVERY BODY is bad! people all the time try to pressure me into having sex with my b/f Corey. Sure me and him might want to sometimes because we love and are attracted to each other but we want to wait till marriage because we know that its not right. it is just really hard to have a long relationship like mine and corey's with all the pressure! corey's best friend laughs at us cuz we haven't had sex yet!!!!!!!

When I was in highschool, I was a virgin and was planning to wait until marriage to have sex. A very good friend of mine had had sex with 4 or 5 guys, and kept telling me that it was fun and I should try it.
A couple years after highschool, we saw eachother. She asked if I was still a virgin and I told her yes. She said, "Good. Please stay that way." She told me how much she regretted having had sex, and that she was waiting either 5 years or until she got married to do it again, because she felt like she had destroyed a part of herself.
I think the reason that teens who have had sex pressure other sto do it is because they are insecure about having done it, and a part of them regrets it. They look for validation in numbers. If everyone has done it - it can't be so bad. But those who stay strong and don't have sex are reminders that it is possible to get through hs w/o having sex.
You are on the right track. Highschool is a temporary situation. Stay strong, stick to your principles, and don't worry about what they say. 2 months out of hs you'll realize that nothing that happened there except your grades matters.

You and my 15 year old son would get along wonderfully! he and his girlfriend BOTH wear a celibacy ring- they want to wait for sex until marriage! My son has his whole life planned out! College-job-even kids names! lol He is one of the few who really does care about his future and the worlds! He is such an awesome kid! He got alot of crap about this at school for a long time too! The guys were mean- and the girls well- the litte hussies kept trying to get him to DO IT so they could be the one to break him in!!! Stand your ground! Dont be a follower be a leader! You obviously have leadership qualities!!! Some kids are just so afraid- so scared- and so insecure they feel like they have to do all of this to fit in! Im proud of u darlin!!!

Maybe they think it's cool to do things they know aren't right to show that they are not living by anyone else's rules. Most likely, they truely feel a bit self conscious about their decisions and what you to be in the same boat (misery loves company). The most important thing is to stay true to yourself and don't let ANYONE make you think you should change what you feel is right just because they disagree. That being said, don't be so quick to judge evryone else ("EVERYBODY is bad"). Just because you don't agree with their choices doesn't give you the right to look down on them - that is just as bad as what they're doing to you. If your bf decides the preassure is too much, then maybe you need some time apart for him to realize that you are worth waiting for. Don't worry, high school will be over soon enough - just stick to what you believe.

Well, you obviously understand that you're smarter than them!! I think it's great that you have standards for yourself and your boyfriend. There is absolutely no reason to have sex if you don't want to. Wait until you're 100% sure you're ready.
Just keep doing what you're doing and don't give in to the pressure. Trust me, in a couple years it won't matter who had sex or did drugs or drank when. Just remember that a lot of them will be drop-out parents before they're 18!!

You've got yourslef one good guy- hold on to him. It's not to find a boyfriend who also wants to wait. I think they single us out because they are jealous they didn't wait longer or didn't get addicted to drugs. Or they are showing off and trying to act 'cool'. Don't let them pressure you. You're doing the right thing.

non virgins single out virgin-teens because they have low self esteem. thats the reason why they (most of the time) have sex at that young age. Dont worry about it. If anything, you should be laughing at them!

i know how that feel to i'm in high school to. People think that just makes them cool but seriously if people and stuff make fun of u they are just jerks or skanks. i wouldn't want to know if other people are having sex thats gross keep that in the bedroom!
