Check out Haight St. in SF. Try Kanzaman or ChaChaCha's. Kanzaman has a hookah bar and belly dancing (Sat. nights). Great shopping and people watching. If you like music, check out Amoeba for CDs and records, used and new. There's a bar across the street called Milk that spins good music.

Telegraph in Berkeley. There's pretty good pizzaria's - Zachary's, The Cheese Board, Blondie's, Fat Slice.

In Cupertino, there's a park called Rancho San Antonio that has beginner to advanced hikes. It's great for hiking or running. Castle Rock in Santa Cruz is also a great hike!

Santa Cruz - check out Marianne's Ice Cream. The best ice cream in the bay area.

Sunnyvale - There's also a hookah bar in the downtown area.

SF itself. Tons of clubs (dance and music), theaters (movie and live), bars (if you're old enough you have to check out some of the dive bars), museums (Moma, the exploritorium, the Metreon), parks (golden gate park has soooo much), resturants (North Beach), shops (union square), tourist attractions (china town, fishermans wharf, alcatraz) and sights to see.

Then you've got the beaches from Santa Cruz up to Bodega Bay. Muir Woods is amazing
Monterey (the aquarium is awesome), you could go kayaking in Elkhorn Slough or in Monteray Bay itself
Carmel
Marin has many great hiking trails
the Oakland Zoo
you can catch a ball game (the giants suck right now but a game is still fun even if you aren't a fan)
Telegraph in Berekley is cool
Thousands of great resturants and bars
Great America and Six Flags
The Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz
Learn to Surf
Mountain Biking in Marin
Skateboarding just about anywhere

And this is all off the top of my head. If you get out and try and find it the Bay Area has a LOT to offer.

In San Fran go to Fishermans Wharf, cruise the zig zagged Lombard Street, Visit the DeYoung Musuem, catch a concert at The Filmore, go to a Giants game. Visit Saucelido, Ghirdelli Square in Oakland, Marine World/Africa USA in Vallejo, Great America in Santa Clara, cross the Golden Gate Bridge, take a tour of Alcatraz. Thats just off the top of my head.
