No, by all reports that I have seen, most other nations have been getting thier citizens out of Lebanon quickly. Americans however are moving at a snails pace and are severely restricting what can be taken by the evacuees (see my question). It appears that the American government is either trying to use thier citizens somehow, or, and this is far more likely, the American government is proving that it is still just as useless as it was during hurricane Katrina.

I am trapped in Lebanon. Yet it breaks my heart to walk out on such a great country. Many embassies are working on evacuating its citizens, although some countries are doing nothing; such as the Canadian Embassy, Brazilian Embassy...etc. I still did not decide on whether i should leave or not. Many American students here are not willing to leave. It is amazing how we somehow developed such a great attachment to this country and its people.

I hope that instead of working on getting the citizens out, these countries would work on stopping the war.
